Oak Island Timeline

Main Content

Welcome to Oak island timeline

The purpose of this site is to create a graphic representation of the possible date ranges of artifacts found on Oak Island, Nova Scotia, CA, placed in the overall historical context of North America and Europe.  By comparing the artifacts to major historical events, one can (hopefully) create a more accurate theory concerning activities on Oak Island, as well as any  treasure still hidden there.

Artifacts and their possible dates or date ranges are mostly derived from the TV series "Curse of Oak Island" airing on the History Channel.   Much thanks to the Lagina Brothers, the awesome Oak Island Team, as well as the producers and team that bring us the show.     This web site is not  connected to the History Channel or the show, but rather a 'fan page - if you will.. '   only intended to add to the fun of theorizing about what exactly happend on this incredible site.  Artifacts and dates are posted as soon as possible after we see them on the latest episode.  Please contact me for anything I either have wrong or have entirely missed! Email:Eric T. <etwcnj@gmail.com> Thanks!

2/22/2022: Updates in from first several episodes of Season 9

MYTH AND LORE

Any possible activities on Oak Island that have yet to be  proven and verified, including Phoenicians, Vikings, Romans, Basque, Scottish,  Templars, Native Americans,   Ancient Aliens, Big Foots or Feets, Chuppacobra,  Trans-Dimensional Whatevers..  you get the idea...

EXPLORERS

Examining the recorded activities of the explorers, raiders, pirates and traders, from 1492 through the late 1600's.  Some were kind and gentle sailors, some were ruthless mercenaries out finding gold for their kings and queens back home, and others were out risking their lives to steal that very wealth that the mercenaries of the  kings and queens were stealing from the new world...  did you follow any of that????

SETTLERS

Focussing on the time period of known European settlement of the 'Maritime Provinces', starting with the French, then Scottish, and Brittish and on and on.  Specific points of interest here are William Alexander of Scotland in connection with the Pilgrims from England. Looking at what sort of artifacts would be associated with these settlers and any possible threasure or wealth they would have brought... and left behind.  (That was really nice of them to leave vast amounts of treasure behind for us...)

WARTIME

Nova Scotia and Canada in general were fought over by the British, French and other European countries through the 1600's and 1700's.  Oak Island appears to have been an important naval operations base for various sides of the conflict for world domination, functioning as a dry dock for ship repair, maybe a place where you could pull in and get  supplies (a 1700's naval gas and go if you will), or maybe a bank for storing the money needed to pay for it all; turns out that global domination is actually pretty  expensive!

YES, LOTS OF TREASURE STILL THERE TO BE FOUND: KING SOLOMON'S GOODIES, THE GOLD OF THE AZTECS, AND A LOT OF PIRATE LOOT HIDING UNDER A ROCK.

NO, EITHER NOTHING WAS EVER THERE OR IT WAS ALL PICKED CLEAN LONG AGO AND  IS NOW RESTING SAFE  IN EITHER THE TOWER OF LONDON OR FORT KNOX, KY.
